The first one is used for automatic flushing of pumping stations during pumping station operation and the second one for remote control of gate valves in situations where there is no integrated management system for all devices, such as sewage treatment plants. Both systems have been developed and are still evolving in response to user requests. MASP - what is it for ?

MASP SYSTEM is a developed METALCHEM-WARSZAWA S.A. Automatic Rinsing System for pumping stations. It moves sediments from the bottom, breaks up the floating sludge accumulating on the surface and facilitates the self-cleaning of the pumping station. This system is an excellent alternative to hydrodynamic rinsing circuits mounted directly on the pumps.

Designed for

MASP SYSTEM - is designed for sewage pumping stations where there is a phenomenon of deposits, sand or fat settling on the pumping station elements. The forced movement of the medium in the pumping station causes the settling of deposits and makes them easier to pump out. As a result, they require much less frequent mechanical cleaning and intervention by the conservator. This has a significant impact on reducing the operating costs of the facility.

  • Possibility to set the depth and direction of the flushing pipe outlet.

 

How to work it

  • A correctly installed MASP SYSTEM is activated along with one of the pumps in the pumping station.
  • Part of the medium pumped by the pump through the outlet, the solenoid valve and the rinsing pipe Dn50 (or larger) returns to the pumping station causing the fluid to rotate in the tank.
  • Properly selected diameter MASP forces the circulation of the entire volume of the medium preventing the deposition of sand, scum and fats in the tank.
  • While waiting for the pumps to start the solenoid valve remains open, it is important that it is placed in front of the ball valve and does not cause the discharge pipe to be purged to the pumping station.
  • The closing time of the valve is about 17s and should be taken into account when setting the expected rinsing time.
  • After the set rinse time, the solenoid valve closes and all the agitated medium is directed through the pumps to the discharge line.
  • After switching off the pump and stopping the flow, the solenoid valve will open and the system will wait for the next cycle.

 

 

 

Instalation

  • Tee with the outlet of the solenoid valve and the outlet pipe should be inserted below the ball valve on the pipe. 
  • The length and direction of the flushing pipe outlet should be selected individually to the size of the pumping station.
  • Connect the valve control (RZS MASP) to the path of one of the pumps in the pumping station control cabinet, and then set the switching frequency in the MASP control (every time or every nth turn-on cycle of the pump).
  • The standard solenoid valve cable is 10m long and can be extended on customer's request.
  • The power connection must be made by qualified persons with due care so as not to damage the device or the power cord.

 

Configuration

At present, the MASP system is available with free passage from Dn50 to Dn100. The cost of the system includes: Control system (RZS MASP), solenoid valve with power cable and signal cable (10m each), tee mounted on the vertical with the outlet to the solenoid valve and 2m pipe rinsing.

Systems with a different length, installation method or larger diameter, eg Dn150, are priced individually.

THE SYSTEM MASZ is a Mobile Application for remote control gate valves based on the GSM data transfer technology. The set consists of applications for devices with Android operating system and power supply and control system. The system can be delivered as a complete product together with gate valves (gate valves, knife valves or ball valves) and appropriate drives to them or be adapted to the existing conditions (gate valves or gate valves with a drive).

Designed for

The MASZ SYSTEM is designed to control gate valves in places remote from the operator, where power supply and GSM signal are available, but it is impossible or unprofitable to locate cables for control signals, eg:

  • The inflow of sewage to the pumping stations scattered in the area,
  • Retention reservoirs, rainwater tanks or process water tanks *,
  • Valves and valves on sewers, pipelines and collectors
    * The frequency of regulation depends on the drive parameters

How to work

  1. Choosing the gate valve from list (drop-down list),
  2. Checking the gate valve status (querying the controller) regarding the gate valve opening percentage or sending an error message (failure): power supply, motor overload, etc.,
  3. Setting the closing / opening value in the application via the slider,
  4. Confirmation and sending the command to the controller,
  5. Setting of the open or closed gate valve value by the controller,
  6. Feedback that confirms the task.

Appk - supports devices with Android system from version 2.3 up.

Controlbox - Power supply and control cabinet with GSM modem, each gate valve is assigned a separate controller, one GSM modem (1 SIM) can handle up to 100 gate valves.

Drive - the system works independently from the drive manufacturer (Auma, Centork, etc.)

Gate valve - knife and wedge gate valves are most often used, but the system can also be adapted to ball valves including quarter turn (time of closing / opening is decisive).

Smartphone - an Android device that allows you to use the application.
